It’s The Money

In simple terms, it’s the money. The YouTube channel, the Young Turks, has consistently been right and has consistently said the country is run by rich people and politicians. Chart after chart shows that the rich people’s income has drastically increased while the lower 90% of people’s income has not.

The overwhelming majority of the public has no idea that the reason why they don’t know this is because the rich people that own the media, the newspapers, are paid not to report on this.

The Young Turks have constantly said, and yelled, that the minimum wage has not changed since 2006. That is a national minimum wage. Why isn’t everyone screaming to the top of the mountain about this injustice? Because the money changers on the companies do not want to pay employees—it would eat into their massive profits.

One of the podcasts on YouTube that I’m listening to said that an opinion piece written by David Brooks finally admits that it’s the lower class, the people without college education. The common man that has been screwed.

I read somewhere, and I will find evidence, that it costs $1 million to run for a congressional seat. $1 million! How the hell do you think a person running for Congress can raise that much money? They have to depend on the corporate donors. And once you accept money from the corporate donors, you have to do what they say to do.

It’s not about black and white. It’s about class. Hopefully, the future will be brighter than it is.
